Dr Tracey Phan

BMed and GDip (OphthSci) and FRANZCO

Dr Phan is a consultant ophthalmic surgeon with special interest in Glaucoma and Medical Retina conditions. She underwent two prestigious overseas fellowships in the United Kingdom. She completed her clinical Glaucoma fellowship at the highly regarded John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford, United Kingdom which is associated with Oxford University. During her time there she gained in-depth knowledge and advanced surgical skills in the various aspects of glaucoma management.

Following this, she underwent further training at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London, United Kingdom where she was mentored by world leaders in the fields of Medical Retina, Uveitis, and Genetics. Through her time at Moorfields, Dr Phan gained wide exposure to management of complex vascular medical retina conditions and macular conditions, and honed her experience in intravitreal injections and laser treatments.

Prior to her time abroad, Dr Phan completed her rigorous ophthalmology training at Sydney Eye Hospital and worked in several major Sydney metropolitan hospitals. She has a Graduate Diploma in Ophthalmic Science from University of Sydney. She completed her medical degree at the University of Newcastle.

Dr Phan has published in peer-reviewed well ranked medical journals, and throughout all stages of her career has enjoyed being involved in medical education.

Outside her medical career, Dr Phan enjoys travelling and discovering various interesting places around the world.
