Dr Capucine Odouard

MBBS (Hons), MSc (BoV), FRANZCO

Dr Capucine Odouard MBBS is a General Ophthalmologist and Cataract Surgeon and is currently a Consultant Ophthalmologist at Prince of Wales Hospital. She completed her medical training at the University of Notre Dame, Sydney graduating with Honours and obtained a Masters of Science in Biology of Vision at the University College of London. She undertook comprehensive Ophthalmology training through the prestigious Sydney Eye Hospital and was selected as the Professorial Senior Registrar in her final year to complete her training in the Professorial Unit.

Dr Odouard has published extensively in peer-reviewed literature and regularly presents at Australian meetings. She is particularly passionate about education, teaching at the University of Sydney, Save Sight Institute. Dr Odouard has worked internationally in the UK, Tanzania and Indigenous communities in the Northern Territory. She plans to undertake further subspecialty fellowship training in Cornea, Anterior Segment and Refractive Surgery in Canada from July 2024.

Dr Odouard is also fluent in French.
