Dr Megha Kaushik

Dr Megha Kaushik is an Australian trained specialist in oculoplastic surgery, cataract surgery and general ophthalmology. She is a fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists and has a Consultant Ophthalmologist appointment at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.

Dr Kaushik was brought up in Newcastle, Australia and completed her medical training at the University of New South Wales, graduating with honours. She completed her specialist Ophthalmology training at Sydney Eye Hospital.

She undertook subspecialty training for three years in the United Kingdom.

She is dual trained in oculoplastic and orbital surgery from Moorfields Eye Hospital, London and neuro-ophthalmology from University Hospitals Birmingham.

Her areas of expertise include eyelid surgery, blepharoplasty, endoscopic lacrimal surgery, periocular skin cancer, orbital surgery, and cataract surgery.

Dr Kaushik also has a background in ophthalmic research with a Masters in Philosophy (Medicine) and Masters in Public Health. Her publications in international and peer reviewed journals are listed on Research Gate. She is a regular reviewer for international ophthalmology journals and has been a co-investigator multicentre international clinical trials.
